Instructional Technology

Instructional Technology is the process of designing instruction with the tools that best support learning. There are a variety of technology tools that can be used for instructional purposes. The tools of technology include software applications, search engines, cameras, scanners, webquests, project-based sites, and e-mail. Integrating technology into instruction depends on the instructional objectives, the learners abilities, and the resources available for instruction. Learning about the computer and learning to use the computer are important. However, using the tools of technology to integrate content-area material is more productive.
