Welcome Home!
Our first unit, the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, has arrived home at last. They are a Logistical company that supplied and coordinated everything on the battlefield. Read about them in the Family Readiness Group Newsletter and the Defend America News.
Our second platoon, the 511th Military Police Company, are still busy in Iraq. Regrettably, we have not heard from them recently.
Here is the first message received from them.
"Hello Marianne,
We are very grateful that you guys are willing to take on our platoon for our
deployment. It will be a big morale booster for our Soldiers to receive mail and
packages from your students. This mail will be the only mail some of my Soldiers
will receive the whole 15 months we are deployed so we will never be able to
thank you guys enough. Yes I am a Second Lieutenant and our job is Military
Police. We will deploy to Iraq anywhere from 11-14 NOV. They have not given us a
specific date but we know that we will fly within that window.
