For over ten years I have been a classroom
teacher that provides appropriate opportunities for all students to
achieve their maximum potential. I have over five years experience at
the district level developing and managing instructional technology
programs to provide K-12 teachers with appropriate grade-level
instructional units supported by technology and the standards. I have
knowledge of equity, ethics, and etiquette issues associated with
technology in education. I feel I am an innovative instructor devoted
to education and teaching. Currently I am teaching Keyboarding and
Computer Applications to seventh graders at the Gouverneur Middle
School and am a member of the School Improvement Building Team. At the
district level I am active on the Technology Committee and
Professional Development sub-committee. I represent the Gouverneur
District as Site Administrator for the Model Schools Program (MSP).
These responsibilities include communication and collaboration between
the District and the Model Schools Regional Coordinator for
instructional technology planning, customized professional
development, curriculum design and refinement of technology
integration learning experiences and local teacher leaders. I promote
the sharing of research and resources on effective instructional
technology strategies through professional development workshops
offerings within the district. Personally I enjoy music, especially
the blues. For peace and solitude I explore the Adirondack Mountains..
