Alternate
The GHS Music Department would like to congratulate Taylor Gale
for her selection as an alternate into the New York State School Music Association
Mixed Choir. In April 2009, Taylor performed during the NYSSMA
solo festival held at the Crane School of Music. Taylor received
a 98, prompting her acceptance into this
ensemble. The festival will be held, as always, in Rochester
N.Y. and occur during the first weekend in December. If you
see Taylor, please congratulate her on this tremendous honor.

Moses Awarded Top NYSSMA
Honors
The GHS Music Department would like to congratulate Steven Moses
for his selection into the New York State All State Orchestra. In April 2009,
Steven performed during the NYSSMA
solo festival held at Watertown High School. Steven received
a 98, prompting his acceptance into this

First All-County Festivals Announced
SLCMEA will continue the new All-County festivals for Saint
Lawrence County this year. The festival will be divided into
two concerts, one taking place at the Crane School of Music, the
other being hosted by the Canton Central School district and

Announced
The GHS Music
Department would like to announce the official 2008-2009 Chamber
Singers. They are, in no particular order; Taylor Gale, Kegan Schell, Steven Moses,
Carly Gates, Olivia Roberts, Nick Leonard, Kevin Granger, Cherie
Witte, Andrea Dewhirst, Stevie Ward, Sarah VanVleet, Zack Leader, Amanda
Henderson, Brandon Griffin, Dan Truax, Allison Elliott, Katie Kulp
