Keep you child's mind as well as their body active this summer. Have your child read to you a few times each week during the summer. If you have books at home or from the library, click here to go to Scholastic's online book leveling page to see if the book is appropriate for you child. also don't forget to visit the Links page for acess to other great online resources that will help keep your child's mind sharp and ready for school in the fall.

Free Software Resources:

Use the following links to great free software to download and install on your computer.

Tuxpaint- Great program for the artistic student who likes to draw, paint and be creative. While you are there, download and install the Tuxpaint stamps after you install Tuxpaint to make the program even more fun. We use this in the classroom and the kids love it.

Open Office- a free Microsoft Office compatable productivity suite. Great for kids who like to write, or those who want to make more PowerPoints.

Google Earth- We use this program in the class room to explore the world. Check it out!

Timez Attack- We use the full version of this game in the classroom to practice multiplication facts. You can download the base version for free to use at home.
