Our OPT organization helps to fund many student activities that our school budget doesn't allow for. Activities such as educational assemblies & speakers, visiting authors, field trip transportation, etc. would not be possible if not for the financial support of our OPT.
OPT sponsors school-wide fund raising drives a few times each year to help raise money for school-wide activities. Each grade level also has their own fund raiser to help raise money for their own grade's activities.
OPT also sponsors a Craft Fair every year in November. This year's Craft Fair hosted a record number of vendors.
A yearly membership in OPT is only $5 and entitles you to a 10% discount off purchases made at the Scholastic Book Fairs as well.
The success of our OPT depends largely on parental involvement. Meetings are held once a month in the West Side School cafeteria at 7 p.m. Child care is provided at no cost.
